I loved the surprise! Did you use glue to stiffen them? I've only used starch but have had limited success.

Got my cards on the way too. Everybody gets a little surprise, oh and Mom made all the colored ones and some of the white.

Yes the pertties were hand made, Mom and I are still at it. Making some for Aunt R.

I sent all of mine out yesterday. I returned from a vacation and Monica's and Sarlon's have arrived.

I thought I had made it simple/obvious enough. Maybe next year it will be.

I should have checked this sort of thing. I know how easy it is to arrange something, know it all, and the brain thinks that something is a simple instruction. Been there a few times.

Nudge me and I'll take a look at the text and see if it can be made more intuitive.

When you post your tallies for this, that list is a list of names of people from whom you have already received cards.

In other words, you check off the names of people who've sent you cards as you get them. That's it. I thought I had made it simple/obvious enough. Maybe next year it will be.

According to the tally, somebody did get a card from you.

I am thinking, instead of clicking on the name of the person whose card you received, you clicked on your own name to say that you got a card.

That kind of defeats the purpose of the tally to make sure of who sent cards.

School's out all next week, although I will be tutoring on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Also trying to put our house back in order after replacing several major pieces of furniture and beginning the insane amount of baking I do for the holidays and trying to get the pile of sewing done that needs to be attended to.

That beings, said, I try to get all my Christmas cards done in the last week of November/first week of December.

The upshot being, my cards should be in the post by Dec. 7th.

I just sat down and finished the rest of my cards. They will go out the beginning of next week.

I am assuming the beginning of next week will give me lots of time to do my pre-Thanksgiving chasing, before things get crazy later in the week.
