The recent thread on books from childhood reminded me of a book I absolutely loved...
Except I can't remember title or author so....maybe someone out there would know it?
It delt with children and a magic house. One that would try to keep them there...around the house I think there was a sand barrier? The cook had three different cats one that got killed by the cook and one that always had a question mark tail.
*sighs* I know, not helping a whole lot. When the kids start to figure out they are getting trapped the food tastes like sand. And in the end the house got destroyed and a lot of the kids met up but found that many of them were all different ages.
