After a month or so of lurking I've finally decided to register (teh laziness's fault). The name is Brandon, Mc. Dangle's employee of two years and The Official Emotional Punching Bag for our customers. When I applied, I figured- "Eh. May as well start at the bottom. Can't know success until you know what it feels like to be a failure", and after some of the crap I've had customers throw at me- I know full well what being a failure SHOULD feel like (not that I am one- I'm regarded as one of the more important people on our night crew; it's just we have a lot of customers who think they're part of some sort of group that gets to judge your worth as a human being based on how many seconds it takes for us to get them their food). I figured a Md. D's job would also help me deal with a lot of the negative impacts being Autistic has had on me while developing and strengthening the postive affects.
As for outside of work- I'm your typical gamergeek. I enjoy playing World of Warcraft, Portal, and the classics like Street Fighter. I love Rock music- Alt (Fuel), Prog (Coheed and Cambria), Metal (X Japan), Japanese (the pillows), Classic (Pink Floyd); it's all good. I also dabble in more intellectual/geekial pursuits- studying politics, science, art, writing, web design, administrator of Shoutwire.com, etc.
Above all- I'm just one of those easygoing people that, despite the optimistic cynicism, unrelenting bizzareness, admittedly short temper, and just a hint of psychosis, almost everyone seems to like.
So, um (meh, I suck at introductions, really), hi! It's a pleasure to meet you all- and it's great to find a refuge for all those who must suffer at the hands of the ungrateful jerks who regard the people who slave to make their lives more convenient as nothing more than semi-intelligent sacks of meat and bone that exist solely to please their demands- no matter how insane, inane, insispid, stupid, or incoherent they are.
