Well, I've been at my job right around two months and it took this long for me to have someone make my brain hurt this bad.
First off, the train he's looking for is running late (something like 15 minutes). Guy comes up to me with his girlfriend, both of which look somewhat intelligent. This occurs:
Man: Is the train on time?
Me: No, it is not.
Man: Is it running late?
Me: Yes.
Man: Do you know how late it is running?
Me: Yes I do. (I pause since it looks like he is going to say something)
Man: Ok, thank you. (both walk off and outside)
As soon as they both walk far enough away, I look at my co-worker and ask "did that just really happen?" She answered with "Yeah. It did".
I wasn't even trying to be a smartass or anything. This was a week ago at least and I still can't figure it out. The even stranger part: neither one came back in to ask how late the train was running.
