Our return policy requires a receipt and so we ask for a phone number before every transaction as a way to track them.
ME: May I have your phone number with area code please?
MAN: A guy here told me you take our numbers for prank phone calls.
*freaking out that an employee here would be telling guests that*
ME: I'm sorry sir! That's not true at all! *begins to explain return policy....*
MAN: No, no it was hilarious though!
*phew. he understood it was just a joke*
*we complete the transaction*
MAN: *as he's walking out the door he turns back to me with a concerned look* JUST MAKE SURE THEY CALL BETWEEN 10 AND 6 OKAY???????
Really? really? he thinks our company asks for customers phone numbers for prank calls?
IF ONLY!! All the revenge I would bring down upon those SC's.
