At our bank, they remodeled not too long ago. At the teller counter they now have these little glass panels where it used to be just open counter. They're about a foot wide, with a gap between the counter and panel so you can slide cash/docs under there.
Today, the teller reached straight for the cash and must have forgotten about the glass. She jammed her fingers straight into it. "MOTHERFUH!" she yelped (she just managed to stop the expletive). No broken nails, but that had to have hurt!
