I almost forgot about this one.
We had a voicemail greeting on our phones during the holidays that said we would be closed “for private party business” on 12/24 and 12/31 (since Christmas Day & New Year's Day were on Saturdays, we got the day before off). This was meant to refer to any advertising by "private parties" as opposed to the funeral directors (someone was there to take death notices).
Several people left messages on the voicemail saying, "What? You're closed for a private party?? Arrgh gripe gripe blah blah..."
