This is a quick funny one that happened recently:
Customer brings up a case of Aquafina and some other stuff...I ring it up, he says it was supposed to be $2 less than what it rang up.
I look through the ad, and the water he'd brought isn't listed. He looks at the Dasani in the ad and says "See? $2 less!!"
I politely tell him that the ad price is for Dasani, while he was trying to purchase Aquafina. He says he doesn't want it, so I void it off, and he pays for his other items.
As he's leaving he spots a store-brand water stack, and turns to me and says "Oh, is that the one in the paper?"
Admittedly I had a slight brain-to-mouth-filter fail, because I said "No, sir...that's still not Dasani" (I still said it politely though)
Offered to get him a Rain Check on the Dasani, but he didn't want one. I was left feeling very
