Short little background: I've been in touch with a contractor regarding a claim. There have been some discrepansies, but I managed to get everything smoothed out yesterday. Called the customer, called the contractor, closed everything.
I got a call from Nice Contractor during my lunch break (my fault for sitting at my desk during lunch...). We do the usually niceties (e.g. Hey, how ya doin', how's the weather...blah).
NC: Sunshine, you're killing me!
Me: ...what?
NC: Didn't you call me today and leave a voicemail saying you needed (paperwork)? I shredded half (the customer's) file today!
Me: Erm...no. I didn't even open the file today. The last call I made to you was yesterday explaining that I was closing the file...
NC: Hmm...okay. Well, everything is resolved then. I really hope we don't have to work on this (customer's) file again.
Me: Me too. Have a nice day.
NC: You too.
<end call>
Yeah, I have no idea what the heck he was talking about. We figured it may have been that he just didn't get a vm I left a few days ago.
