Schedule 3 techs on for New Year's Eve next year.....
I figured hey, it's a holiday, right? Nothing's open, people will be out partying, it'll be slow! I can crank out schedules into mid-February! Woohoo!
Durrr....Forgot that whole thing where everyone tries to get fills in before their deductibles roll over or they lose coverage....Oh sweet jeebus, I had an hour and a half wait all morning, I didn't get a lunch even with managers coming back to help me beat down the never-ending line.....my pharmacist was getting frazzled even though I kept his tasks lined up for him in order.
Thankfully, most people saw that it was an absolute zoo, with the exception of a few people who threw stinks about the wait. Hello, do you not see me literally running back and forth? Yeah, you, brainiac.
Not to mention that I hot at least 2 photocopied scripts from patients, one of which was only half-copied. >_< They took down my name when I handed it right back and refused to fill.
This is not counting the all the scripts we had to page doctors over when they forgot important bits of info....like the strength of the med..or writing for something that doesn't exist...I guess they were celebrating early or something while they were prescribing
So....I'll definitely remember the hell that was Sunday next year and make sure to have enough staff on hand next time around....
