It's odd...
A customer can be rude to me, yell at me and tell me that I cannot do my job, and I don't take a lot of offense to it. It might be due to the fact that I know I'm not wrong and I can do my job.
Today, I had a customer who was the loudest gum chewer I have ever come across. Ladies and gentlemen, that annoyed me more than anything else in the world. He wasn't even trying to be polite with his gum. I was about ready to smack him around a few times and ask him if he likes that sound. I couldn't imagine sitting down with this man to eat... I'd probably stab him in the aorta with my fork.
He was worse than the guy that made my eyes water with his halitosis. I have an awful sense of smell, but that guy's breath made me about curl into a ball and die.
Really, I can handle a lot in the way of a rude customer. When I was at my old job, I loved to take on the crabby customers because they were a much needed challenge. I'm not about ready to do that at my current job. Not because I couldn't, but because right now I don't know all the processes yet. Just wait though, just wait. I have a lot of patience... but argh, loud gum chewing. NO NO NO!!! I will not put up with it willingly.
