In most Serbo-Croatian surnames that end with "ic" (i.e. Mladic, Karadic) the "ic" is pronounced like "itch."
That will be important in a second.
At work, I was looking for something on the city of Bihac, properly pronounced "Bee-hock." I was having difficulty, so I approached a female coworker.
I mixed the two pronounciations.
"I can't find any of this about Bee-hotch." I said...and it sounded like I said "Beeyotch."
My coworker busted out laughing and said "What did you call me???"
