As usual, I have a million and one things to do today. The main thing that concerns me is the first draft of our quarterly newsletter. I'm slated to deliver a full first draft in two weeks. This thing usually runs between 45 and 60 pages, though it is image-heavy. That's a lot to get done. Add into that our weekly e-newsletter, weekly promotion, several email blasts a week, etc. BUSY.
I come in this morning...and the internet is down. I can't even access other files on our server. Ok, fine. It's actually a good thing at first, because the one document I CAN get to is the major newsletter. So I work on that for about 2 hours, but it gets to the point where I need to research things, pull up other files from the server, etc. Can't do it.
Finally, at 10:30 am (3 hours after I arrived), I get my internet back. I keep getting interrupted with requests for copy I've already sent, questions about spelling/grammar, etc. ARGH.
Despite it all, I got a good start on the newsletter, a finished promotion, and a nearly-finished weekly e-newsletter.
I rock sometimes.
Now I have to go home and do MORE writing. My recently article on zombies, religion, and culture was well-received (PM me if you want the link), and now I need to write a bunch more articles. Sigh. *headdesk*
