Today me and a fellow grunt arrived at work at about the same time, our store has two cash registers and one of them has to be a managers drawer. When I walked in the AM asked me if I wanted to work stock or if I wanted to run a register, I told her that I would rather work stock and she said that was fine and told the other grunt to count his drawer.
He didn't like that so he asked, "Why do I have to run the register, I don't want to either why didn't you ask me?"
She just looked up at him from what she was doing and said "Because Joe's the best cashier at this store and I would like to keep him that way, if he doesn't want to run a register today he doesn't have to."
I've been told I was good before but never the best.
