so, i just recently graduated my company's management training program. for the last couple of months (since i graduated) i've been working as an assistant manager at a store about 30 miles from home. then yesterday i got a call from our regional deli director offering my own store! it's far from my dream store, but the rd herself told me that this is just a stepping stone, to get me into a management role and have me ready to move to a high volume, high end store when one opens early next year
my commute will be much better, only about 15 miles one way instead of the 30 i drive now, and did i mention the raise? i'm being given a raise of more than $10000/year, plus quarterly bonuses and profit sharing. this puts me making more than i've ever made in my entire life, and at a job that i actually love.
*dances around*
