the other new hire just quit.
though to his credit it was a smart move. he had a a technical background but i think it was more for computer networks than electronic hardware, so he was pretty much having to learn how to use the equipment and learn how to calibrate it at the same time.
and it was a smart move because... he quit to take a job at lockheed martin, so he's probably in a better job anyway.
but this is also good for me too. cos the new hires get stuck with all the low-level calibrations and work their way up to more advanced work.
so now that i'm the only new hire, i get a bigger workload.
the 2 senior techs teased me about it a little but... i think i overhead them comment that the workload will go faster now too.
though to be honest... i LIKE this job
