Up until several years ago, myself and a couple of good friends used to be loyal regulars at the Hooters restaurant in downtown Santa Monica. Which brings this entertaining tale from one of our final visits.
On a busy Friday night, we heard lots of loud, slurred female chatter coming from the bar. We looked around and recognized the source of the noise as two of the girls who worked as waitresses there- a short, curvy brunette and a tall, slender blonde. They were dressed in their street clothes, so they were clearly off work.
They were causing a bit of a commotion ( albeit the happy, drunken kind ) . The last straw was when the blonde gently slid off of her barstool, her legs folded under her, and she did a faceplant on the hard floor. Fortunately she wasn't hurt. The manager came over and nicely asked both of them to leave, which they did. The last we saw of them was the two of them holding onto each other, still laughing and chattering and they stumbled out the door.
I have no idea if they lost their jobs over that little stunt
