The would be hilarious. But alas, I already deleted the message :P Even now, she keeps calling me everyday for an interview and leaving no message...I know it's her cause of my caller ID, its the same number. But I don't want a ditzy lady for a boss. They're nearly as bad as a control freak boss IMHO!
The evil side of me would want me to answer the phone, listen to the spiel and then say, "Yes, I got a message earlier, along with a rant about people not answering phones. I attempted to call back, but unfortunately the person who answered the phone didn't have their listening ears on and told to apply, then they'd call me. I'm sorry, I don't think I want to work for a place that doesn't have a certain level of professionalism in their hiring process. It speaks poorly for the rest of the company."

But that's just my evil side. My good side wants to say that to her boss.

Well, I can understand her frustration. Though we usually get calls back, they don't usually show up for the interview. Last time, it was 8 interviews and only 2 showed up.

Not sure why the not answering the call is a big deal though. She also needs to keep her mouth shut until she's hung up the phone, and learn to be polite to people when they call. I can see why they have so much trouble.

I hate with a passion people who call me honey or sweetie in this kind of way.
Ditto. I'll ask once or twice to be called by my name, then after that I'll call them nothing but pookie, schmoopsie poo, pumpkin, etc.

If you still have the voicemail saved, send it to their corporate HR. Or better yet, if you really want to be evil, call your local tv station and see if they want a nice story
Agreed. That was way out of line on the receptionist's part! Whoever the owner is needs to know about her attitude. Who knows, maybe there'll be a second job opening there in the near future...

But seriously, that was extremely unprofessional and rude on her part. What if she spoke to one of her company's clients that way? Very bad way to represent the company, and the owner should hear about it.

If I didn't know better, I would think it's this call center.

Also, the woman didn't listen very :well, did she?? Condescending twit...
Perhaps it was her replacement they ate looking for? LOL.
I hate with a passion people who call me honey or sweetie in this kind of way. I usually snap back with something like "ok baby doll, put your listening ears on and let's try again". Stupid woman.

WTF? This place expects anyone who applies for a job to be sitting beside the phone 24/7 waiting for a call-back?

HotelMinion, I think you can check that place off your list of places you'd want to work.
