Ugh, not through them. Basically, I took to splitting my loads of laundry in half (thus giving them more money to do it, grr) and making sure that I'm using the cleanest machines in the place. Which is hard to do sometimes. One trip had dirt in one, trash in another, grease in a third and gum in a dryer. I really loathe not having my own machines.

We wouldn't keep seeing retail workers and news articles encouraging folks to throw temper tantrums at other retail workers and CSRs if it didn't work at least some of the time.
You can blame your spineless managers and corporate types for that.

Radio shack did have an iGo charger... But I'm not interested until they get a tip thing for my laptop.

no it's not you.
thats just wrong and cheap and crappy of anyone to do that.
Although I read an article a few years back now (might have been last year even).
That basically advocated causing a fuss and being an SC to get what you want RIGHT NOW at restaurants and in stores etc.
Sadly I can't believe something like that got published as 'advice' and of course i'm sure millions of EW's took that advice to heart and thought 'I'M DOING GOOD YAY ME!!'

Regardless of how the economy sucks, treating CSRs like that to get your way is wrong. That guy is a total douchebag for suggesting something like that knowing he's also in customer service too!
If you need a charger, I would suggest getting one of these. The iGo chargers. I have one for me and SO and it's awesome! I got one from Radio Shack...the one by my house is nice.

ShadedWings, did you ever get that resolved? And thank you for taking the moral high road. I've heard from my fellow workers at Walmart (not to mention everyone on here) about the "customers" who pitch huge tantrums to get refunds on stuff when they should've been told just to take a hike. One less tantrum in the world is a blessing to retail workers.

I had my apartment manager do something along those lines.
The apartment washing machines ruined a bunch of my clothing, with brown dirt stains (yay public washing!
) and I went to complain...
She told me it's because I did the washing wrong, and it's soap on there.
Um... no? My soap is not BROWN. And I did the same thing I do with every single load of laundry in my life, and had no problems. Until then.
I tried to argue it, and she told me to take them back to WalMart and complain to them that their products are sucky and get a refund.
What the
?? Firstly, I never told you where I bought them, someone could possibly take offense at that statement you rude wench! (Mostly people who like to have an image of high-class, heh, not me but still I hate when people are rude without thinking.) Secondly, I'm not going to LIE to another company when it's YOUR fault, not theirs.
Third, you're a wench.
And many other foul things.
So yes, I've run across that too. People just make me sick sometimes.

Yep, that's what the stores do. I've been at the receiving end of those calls often enough. Get customers all the time who are coached by the stores to call us, make a fuss, and try to get stuff for free. Today I even had one customer who was calling FROM THE STORE, with the dealer in the background, prompting him on the questions/demands.
He didn't get a thing from me - being good at customer service doesn't mean I'm not a hard-ass at times!

That's stupid. Radio Shack can order chargers for any cell phone, it just may take a while. Until then, they can sell you a car charger and a power inverter (plugs into wall, has a cigarette outlet). And, they are on commission, at least when I worked there.
Really stupid of him not to do everything in his power to set you up with some sort of solution. That's money out of his pocket!

Pretty much.Quoth JustaCashier View PostHow much you wanna bet he'd very quickly get super defensive at the very slightest display of SC-ish behavior from one of his customers?
Mike
I hate people that try to get whatever they want just by screaming.

That's what we call "A sucker's bet." I'd be more interested in knowing if he'd throw a hissy back at an SC.

Agreed. I would have talked to the Manager too. His employee is studying very bad business habits and it makes Radio Hack look very bad (not that it matters, Radio Hack sucks as it is).Quoth candyshopgirl View PostWhat a stupid dumbass,He refused a sale. I hope this doesn't sound too SCish but I think I would have talked to the manager.I think the boss would like to know that the employees are trying not to make sales.
