I was in line to get some dollar burgers today, and the lady ahead of me had a coupon reading "Buy a Whopper value meal, any size, get a whopper, free" -- She was trying to get a free (normal sized) whopper by buying a Whopper jr meal. her argument was that the coupon specified "any size value meal".
Last time I checked, that phrase meant "small, medium, or large drink and fries with the combo", NOT the burger itself...I can kinda sorta see how one would make that mistake, but she persisted. To the manager & cashier's credit, they politely corrected her. A W-jr is a different product. The lady ended up using a different coupon. Meanwhile, the next cashier took care of me and two other people while the first lady was going on about the coupon...
