The mother, OTOH, I'll go to Fratching and rant about her all night long
I tried to look up your rant on Fratching but I couldn't find it.

Edit: Haylee's chemo treatment's will be done in another month and she's doing great! She had a few rough patches and was hospitalized a few times, but things are looking good now!

Yay for the local builder, and for your sister.

THAT is what make-a-wish should be for, IMO. And that's .. well, that's wonderful.

Unlike Miss Snob in the original story.

I have a 5 year old niece who was born with Down's, and just over two years ago was diagnosed with leukemia. The hospital where she was getting her treatments, sent her info (with my sister's permission of course) to the Make a Wish Foundation, which in turn contacted my sister about granting a wish. Now, little Haylee, does not yet talk because of the Down's, but does use sign language some to communicate. She's not really at a level to make a decision about what to wish for, but thank goodness, I have a awesome sister. She asked them for a play house for the yard for Haylee. Not some little rinkydink plastic thing you buy from Walmart, but an honest to goodness play HOUSE. Between the cancer and the Down's, Haylee can get sunburned very easily, but loves to play outside with her mom and sister, and now she can do so from the shaded porch of the playhouse. They even put electric lights in and a heated floor so it can be used in the winter as well. (A local builder did it all for nothing) It makes me so mad that some "parents" don't understand that the wish is for the child, and not for the parents!

Edit: Haylee's chemo treatment's will be done in another month and she's doing great! She had a few rough patches and was hospitalized a few times, but things are looking good now!

What the hell is happening to our species? It seems that for every nice person there's another person right there waiting to take advantage of them. Not to mention uncaring mothers. [MOD EDIT: Removed fratching comment]

Of course. How many kids have you known that didn't have a father? There's no way that woman's in the same league as the Virgin Mary.
Maybe "Mom" is a hermaphrodite, and fathered the kid a la Cartman's mom conceiving Cartman?
