On days off or on breaks, I occasionally drop into see my friends at a gaming store near where I work. I made friends with the top brass of the site to boot 
so we have a side deal, I get discounts on games, I give them free tickets if I can.
Anyway, I'm standing to one side when a guy comes in with a Kinect that has clearly been opened, and he demands a full refund. My friend A was the poor sucker to get it.
A: I can't give you a full refund because you've opened it, but I can give you the trade-in value for it.
SC: Yes you can give me a refund, it's only been a week and you've got a 28-day refund and exchange policy. I know my consumer rights!
A: That's on unopened games, that Kinect is open so we can't sell it as new again.
