  • Should I Go? Screw It....I'm Going!

I hate when people do this.

Imagine yourself driving down a road, any road, in any area. You're on the main road. People on the side streets are *supposed to be* waiting at stop signs, or are waiting to turn right on a red light.

You get closer and closer and feel somewhat secure that it'll be ok, no one is going to pull any stunts....

    But you're wrong. As always.

Yesterday, I was on my way to the mall to meet up with a friend. This happened TWICE.

The first time, I was coming down the main road alongside a bunch of residential streets by where I live.

Someone decided as I was seriously less than 25 feet away, that they were going to turn left. They just could not wait, or just decided, oh hell, I can make it!

That caused me to nearly slam on my brakes to a stop. So they stopped, in the middle of the intersection, and I ended up having to swerve around them.

Then I was headed on another main road towards the mall. Someone coming out of the bank parking lot was simply not going to wait for all the traffic approaching.

This was a large Cadillac, driven by the stereotypically dangerous old man wearing a hat. ALWAYS beware of the old men wearing hats.

He turned, and took up BOTH lanes while turning, straddled them both while he corrected the vehicle to go straight, and was still flirting with the other lane while he continued going straight. Of course, that led to the rest of us who he had cut off to slow way down and wait to figure out what he was going to next.
