No, Raps was not the original owner. A different guy had the site when I discovered way back in 2000. Raps took it over about five years later, I think.

There was at least one spammer invasion here. Mike and I spent several hours neutering them. It seemed that as soon as we'd kill one idiot or two, we'd get more.

If I remember correctly, that one was actually a troll invasion. I remember the owner at the time didn't like to do IP bans, so it took longer to contain the situation.

When it comes to spammers, we have no heart.

I've been on the internet since 1989 and I hate spammers. (Hate loathe detest). I would do anything to ban all spammers off the internet completely. As I can't do that, I have to try to make sure that spammers don't exist on *my* internet.

I appreciate your moderation here and your ideas. I enjoy this forum absolutely, I read it every day and post when I think I have something to contribute. If the forums were filled with spam I would not do that.
