Why are so few people taught accountability anymore?

    It's heartbreaking

    Actually, it's sickening
I don't think it's accountability for some of them, I just think that they've been shown often enough that if they're willing to make a scene they can get cheap\free stuff.

I swear that's how D2 is reading dates. She still can't grasp the simple way of determining European/American format: whichever of the first two numbers is greater than 12 is the day and from there it's easy.

I kinda favor ISO 8601; there isn't any particular ambiguity of 2019-07-03 (for example).

I got into it when I was working on DEC (computer) equipment. PDP11, VAX, and so on. Their standard way of handling dates was a three-letter version of the month in the middle of the date. 04-JUL-76 was the US bicentennial, for instance. Yes, that was back when Y2K was "someone else's problem", though that someone else eventually was me as well.

This sort of thing is why -- even when corresponding strictly with 'Murricans, I try to write out dates in the ## month ### format (e.g. 26 July 2019)
I've gotten into the habit of writing the date in that format, myself, and I couldn't really tell you why.

Most of our products use the European date format D/M/Y. Just to make things interesting, some Italian companies will use the American format without indicating so, and certain products will get an additional English-language label so you have both formats

Sugar sodas have a shelf life of about 6 months before they start going south. Sadly, most sugar-free sodas expire in about 3 months, and don't age nearly as well as the sugar-based.
