We got over 700 copies and are currently sold out. We're number 2 in the company for selling that particular book. We've been sold out for days, people ask if we have it, and when we tell them we're out they get all pissy.

Oh well, at least I bought copies for all those people on my gift list who wanted it.

My fiance was on an out-of-town job this spring and stopped into Wal-mart for supplies. He found a Wii and brought it home and we almost had to fight to take it with us when we moved.

My brother inlaw works for Shopko, they got 13 Wii's in so they gave out tickets to the first 13 people in line. The only problem is they didn't specify only one Wii per customer. The fist customer in line with a ticket bought 10 of the Wii consoles. When one of the other customers with a ticket got mad and said it wasn't fair the first customer offered to sell one to her for $1000. Crazy, I bet you can find those Wii's on ebay now.

For the record, as far as I can tell, Western New Brunswick is sold out of Wii's. Or at least Fredericton and Woodstock are all Wii-less now, and have been for awhile.

I was lucky enough to have a friend find some at Target over the summer and bought me one. Before that, EVERY store I called was out. Every. Single. One. And this was during the summer. Do people honestly think they'll be able to find one this close to Christmas??

My store started pre-orders on the Wiis yesterday (you can probably guess where I work from that, if you haven't already), and there were only three people standing in line to do it. I'll add in that Wiis are extremely hard to get a hold of in my area, and that before yesterday, we'd get at least fifty calls a day asking when we'd have them in. We ended up taking only 6 of our allocated 18 reserves by the time I left at three. And we had gotten no phone calls asking about Wiis. WHERE THE HELL DID ALL THOSE PEOPLE GO?!

It's like the moment we have them to reserve, EVERYONE who wanted one from us..vanished. WTF?!

I went last Sunday to Best Buy and got one. Got there about 6:30, they were advertising at least 21 would be there, and I was #21 in line. A few more people showed up before they handed out tickets at 7:30. Turns out the store got about 50, so everyone in line got a ticket, without needing to wait overnight in line. From what I've heard online, pretty much every Best Buy had plenty. Now I see alot of those on Craigs List going for anywhere from $300 to $500, but no one is buying.

Actually by sheer coincidence I was at wal-mart.com this morning. They had the wii bundle in stock.

Oh, we've got that. We have something like 20+ copies in my store. We sell maybe one a day. Not a problem finding that anywhere I don't think.

But the Wii? People are retarded for starting to look now. You want one for little Sparky? One word, four letters: Ebay. Also, way too much. I've looked at and priced the bundles. Yes, you are getting ripped off. No, we won't have one for you. Our waiting list has 100 names on it already. We aren't going to be able to get all of those people one until after Christmas. Or after February.

And why do people call asking for Wii's at 9 pm-ish? If something sells out in hours or minutes, why would they think that I'd have one still in the store five minutes before I close?

Why would that make anyone cry? These are a bunch of Arthritic people who can no longer throw a 10 pound+ ball but still miss the fun of hanging around with their friends. If you can't bowl in Real Life, at least with the Wii you still can league bowling night and still have the fun.

Considering that most times you see the sad state of life in the nursing homes, anything that gets them active and interacting with people is a good thing since keeping active is the key to a longer and more quality life.

Not to get off track here but this is the part that really caught my attention...

Someone bought a Wii for a local nursing home and they had to buy three more and ration everyone's time on them.

That's so cool
