When a customer buys a phone contract, we have to play them a recording of the contract conditions, and we record them verbally agreeing. It's simple enough - listen to the recording. At the end, it beeps, just like an answering machine. AFTER said beep, all customer has to do is say 'I agree'. If they say it before the beep, it's not recorded, and we have to go through the whole thing again. I explain this clearly to every customer, and even check to make sure they understand.
Yet at least 75% of customers get it wrong. How hard is it - WAIT FOR THE BEEP, THEN TALK. If you fail to do so, do jot get annoyed with me because you have to do it again. I TOLD you that was what would happen!
