. . . The funny thing is, I'm a female who wears men's clothes and wears my hair (to my shoulders) in a guys fashion, yet he has no problem with that. I just love double standards.
Simple. You're female: By definition you are not and can never be a threat to his masculinity. Apples and oranges.

Yes, it's just as insulting as him being offended because a total stranger isn't "manly" enough.

Besides, female-female homosexuality has historically been "less offensive" than male-male homosexuality because of the lack of penetration involved. When men hook up, the receiver has historically been scorned more because he is taking on a female role (submitting to another man). It doesn't really make a lot of sense logically, but then neither does getting offended about what any consenting adults do in the privacy of their bedrooms.

    MAGNETO IS GAY?
    News to me.
    Yeah, and so is Gandalf.

BTW, the character Dumbledor (not the actors who played him) was written as gay himself. Who would say the second most powerful wizard in the world wasn't manly?

Rock Hudson, one of the studliest men to ever grace the silver screen, was gay.

And of course, there's Ian McKellen, who has managed to do the exact same thing.

hell, i end up surprised when i find out people are gay; i don't really think about that when i watch them in a show/movie. i'm there for the entertainment, not gayspotting. (it doesn't matter to me if they are or aren't; they know what they want, kudos for knowing it and going for it)

is it possible to tow this douchebags car for parking in a reserved spot?

I wonder if the SCD watches Torchwood: John Barrowman is gay and acts like a real man.
Generally I like women...but he's definitely one I'd make an exception for!

Also, according to Wikipedia, David Yost (Billy from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) and George Takei are gay (that's news to me-I knew about the others).
How do you not know about George Takei?!?!?! He's done a few bit parts being a blatantly giant queer. "You Don't Mess with the Zohan" is the first to come to mind. I wish he'd do some more movies! <3

Ellen DeGeneres is lesbian and doesn't show any stereotypical lesbian behaviours.
Victor Garber is gay and managed to pull off Sweeney Todd quite well. (the stage version, not the film version -he's Anthony in the stage version)
Nathan Lane is gay and has pulled off quite a few heterosexual characters VERY well.
And of course, there's Ian McKellen, who has managed to do the exact same thing.

The point I'm trying to make is that being gay doesn't change anything.

SCD: He said he wanted to be an "actor" , wanted to go to Hollywood. He's also way to girly. Why can't he act like a "real man".
To quote Joe Jackson: "All the gays are macho...can't you see the leather shine...."

    The Hateful Sports Car Driver

This happened a couple months ago. The cashier, P, is going to college in another town, so I don't see him anymore. Luckily I haven't seen the customer either. SCD liked to park his $$$$$$ car in the Expectant Mothers spot and when he came out he'd always request a carry out for his four little bags. This gentleman was middle aged, balding wore bright colored shirts and shorts no man his age should wear.He also sometimes will bring his preppy little wife and daughter who is enrolled in a very expensive private Christian school. They seemed to be normal 21st century members of our species, that is until I was around him more. First, he would pull out of the spot , park IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AISLE and then load his graciers, then leave his cart wherever he deemed appropriate. The last straw was this lovely exchange: P=Cashier, Me, SCD=Sports Car Driver.

SCD: You know that kid who checked me out?
Me: Yes, his name is P.
SCD: Is he a (derogatory word starting with F for homosexuals)?
Me: Why do you ask that? (In my mind SCD was being eaten alive by fire ants)
SCD: He said he wanted to be an "actor" , wanted to go to Hollywood. He's also way to girly. Why can't he act like a "real man".

I tell SCD "goodbye" and go back into the store as quickly as I can. The funny thing is, I'm a female who wears men's clothes and wears my hair (to my shoulders) in a guys fashion, yet he has no problem with that. I just love double standards.
