A couple of years ago I had an issue with my car. I was seeing a couple of what looked like separate issues with my car so I called up my garage to get it booked in for repair.
The dashboard light wouldn't come on, the warning bell that goes off when the lights are on and the door's open didn't sound, and most worryingly, none of the lights on the back of my car would work.
Fearing the worst, I phoned them up and asked when I could book it in. They asked what was wrong, the model, etc. When I explained it all to them, the mechanic said it was a common fault and told me how to fix it myself. And it was a very simple fix too. Instead of getting me in to the garage and charging me, he told me how to fix it over the phone.
Another time they replaced the front brake discs on my car when it started making knocking noises when braking. They replaced them but two weeks later I had the same problem. When I phoned them they seemed relieved I'd called them as they'd found a faulty batch but couldn't get hold of all of their customers. They replaced them free of charge.
There's plenty of other reasons but you can see why I always use this garage.
