So I work 3rd shift for a drug store, and we get our deliveries (4 times a week) late evening before the overnight shift starts, so out job on those nights is to put it away.
Well, last week, my boss finally hired a much-needed truck helper, who's job is to take in and sort the truck and help us put it away (who leaves about halfway through our shift).
I've only worked with this guy two days, and he is AWSOME. He can sort the trays into the proper aisle pretty well (I can take a few mistakes since he's new and getting the hang of it), and he's pretty quick at working it too, despite the fact he hasn't had much time to adjust to the store's layout.
Dude takes to the job like a duck to water, seriously. He can do the job better than people who've worked here for ages!
We have an inventive program set up at store level (we use reward cards, and every month 3 people get drawn from all the cards given and win a gift card of their choice), and I already gave this guy a card. I'm not that hard a person to satisfy, but I am hard to impress, and damn, this guy has certainly impressed me!
I hope we keep him for a long time.
