While people asking what you recommend is probably annoying to others due to the potential line-gumming, I actually like when people ask me to make a personal recommendation on what their lunch could be. Part of it is that you actually KEEP them from gumming the line when they ask >9000 questions.
Because usually you can actually learn a few tricks...like say if you ask what kind of bread goes best on a Cold Cut Combo, I would say the day-old wheat or honey oat bread cause it's soft, and it's a shame to toast it when it's already soft enough.
Although I generally keep my recommendations limited when they ask for 'em on veggie-wise. I don't really like anything cept lettuce or spinach.
