She came in on a diaper-run & came to my register a full 10 min. before closing, yet apologized for being a last-minute customer. No problem, I told her! Then her item rang for more than the posted price. She said she felt bad for being a problem customer at the last minute. Yet, she hadn't gotten angry or anything, and was willing to let me handle it however I needed to. We checked it & the sales signs weren't even in the right section. So I honored it anyway, and she said, "You can keep the change so I can get out sooner." This was still a full five mins. before actual close. I wouldn't have minded if she'd stayed longer! She comes in a lot and is always nice.
