To the lady whose name I didn't catch, thank you for turning in the purse you found in the parking lot.
It wasn't even mine, but you should have stuck around to see the face of the woman who it belonged to. I wish I could have given her your name so you could have been thanked properly. I wish you hadn't already checked out because I would have given you discounts up the wah-zoo.
Seriously though. My mom's purse had just gotten stolen out of her cart inside of a supermarket so I know how sad/infuriating the loss of a purse can be for someone. And here you go, out of your way to make sure someone's property and identity were safe. Not that most people would have taken it, but most people would have just passed by it until someone dishonest enough came along and took it.
