Went to my local Costco yesterday to stock up on my "staples": basic items and food stuffs that I eat/use a lot that I can buy in bulk at a better price than at the grocery store.
Store was busy but not packed. I loaded up my cart to overflowing (I hate shopping so I'd put it off for awhile), and headed to checkout. There were 3 lines open, and each had 2 customers waiting behind the one actually at checkout, but several really didn't have a lot in their carts so I wasn't too worried about a long wait.
A cashier called over to me and said, "Miss, I'm open, come on over." As I started moving my cart over to his lane, some guy rushes up and tries to cut me off. The cashier waved him off, and said, "I called her over first, sir." The would be SC backed off. I thanked the cashier, and checked out no problems.
Thanks, Vladimir! I appreciated the save.
