This is slightly a sucky customer but mostly a praise to one of my favorite managers.
Today shortly after returning home I had to go back to work to exchange something I bought that had already been opened.
When I get there I talk to my manager (closing MOD) so I can exchange my item and he tells me that a customer came up to him claiming a brown haired girl that had just left had taken 2 $20 that were stuck together and didn't give her her change. And as there were to girls with brown hair (me and the opening MOD) that had just left he asked which register she had been rung up at pointing to my register. The customer obviously said that was where she'd been rung up but my manager could tell that he could have pointed to any random register and she'd have said that was the register. At that point he knew without a doubt that it was bullshit cause he had done a cash count at my register before I left and it was right (as it ALWAYS is). So he asked for her reciept cause then he'd have a time, a transaction number, and the employee's number. But she didn't have a reciept but said she'd come back with it and would he be there later tonight.
I'm so glad he had my back and didn't give in the customer's bs. Then again there's a reason he's one of my favorite managers and I've never seen him swallow customers' bs.
