From bad cust to favorite cust in only 1 day

Started out innocuous enough. Went to a house, knocked on the door, made my sales pitch to the husband and wife at the door. Husband seemed interested, wife was on the fence. A relative of theirs came to the door, saw who we were (i was being trained at the time) and said "we're not interested" and slammed the door in my face. So we walk to the next house. We get halfway there and the wife says "wait, come back!." I shrug to my traine, and we walk back. Turns out the woman who closed the door on us was not the one to make the decision. But they asked me to come by the next day. My trainer turns to the husband, (since he was already sold) and says "make sure you're wife signs up." The husband says "ok." I turn to my trainer and am like "how did you do that?" He says "huh?" I say "how did you turn them around like that?" He responds "I have my ways..."
The next day I go to their house, and the husband has won over. They sign up, but before I leave they offer me: wine, cheese and bread, and chicken wings. So not only did they buy from me but fed me as well!
So they were the first couple to slam a door in my face, yet still managed to buy a day later and feed me! Instantly became my favorite customers ever.
