Cool -4 Man
So, I was making a midnight run to my local -4 (it's a code), which I do on occasion. I've been very ill for the last year and have been keeping a relatively nocturnal schedule which commonly prevents me from going to normal stores, so I go more often than usual.
On this trip, I had forgotten to return my wallet to my vest pocket, and of course I remember this when I'm at the counter. Kicking myself, I tell him I'll be right back, intending to go back home, get my wallet, and pay, figuring he'll put the cold stuff back in the cold areas and keep the rest behind the counter.
"No, it's okay, take it with you and you can come back."
I was rather stunned. I mean, yes, there were frozen products in there, but still. I went home, put the cold stuff away, and came back and paid, thanking him for his generosity and trust.
And I thought I'd share it here. I salute you, -4 Man, down the street where you roam!
