I was recently prescribed some fairly expensive medications that I had filled at the Wal-Mart pharmacy near my apartment for a total of $180. I had forgotten that I have prescription insurance through my employer since I've never used it before. I didn't have a card, but the cashier told me that I could come back with the insurance information within seven days and they would submit the prescriptions to the insurance company and see if I could get any money back. I tried for a few days to get my member number, but couldn't. I got a phone number, though, and took it to the pharmacy to see what they could do. The awesome cashier was there and explained the situation to the pharmacist, who called my insurance and got them to refund me $60! We are on a tight budget, so getting anything back at all helped a lot. Hooray for people who go above and beyond for customer service! I'm going to bring them some cookies to show my appreciation.
