prayers....good thoughts requested...

I'm not a religious person so if those that are could find a few minutes to send thoughts/prayers on my behalf right now I would greatly appreciate it...

I got a call at 8pm last night that my mom was found unresponsive, not breathing, and without a pulse* outside her apartment last night-Thankfully the fireman that lives in the apt next to hers started CPR within minutes, and I'm thanking whoever in the small town she lives in made the decision that portable defib units are in all the police cars-there is not much worse than pulling into the hospital ER parking lot and watching the EMTs take your mother out of the ambulence, looking almost ashen-then finally being allowed to see her 2 hours later in ICU on a vent-hooked up to about 50 machines-she's stable but they have no Idea what happened-they did say she should be off the vent today(she hates tubes/machines/hospitals in general), but they have to figure out what happened-I have never been this scared in my life

*she does have congestive heart failure

All the good, happy healthy vibes I can send are yours today, BlaqueKatt! I'll say through experience, it's amazing what mommies can pull through with flying colors. Something about after raising kids, everything else is easy. (A quote from my own mommy while still sort of anesthesia after coming out of surgery.)

I went through something simuliar, but not as bad. My mom was having trouble breathing, tons of chest pains. Finally it was found that she wasn't getting enough blood flow or something. She had stint put in. She's all better now, and quitted smoking to boot.

Your a tough cookie Blaq, that's from your mom no doubt, so have faith, she'll pull through and kick more ass then ever before.
