Yeah, in case you hadn't caught that, I am sooooooo happy that Sanjaya caught the boot last night on American Idol. :D  :D

I don't have many tv addictioins and even fewer "Reality" shows that I watch and AI is one.

So many people that were better than him got booted while he just hung on like a fungus.

I don't even watch AI and I'm glad he's finally gone . . .

My husband & I had a little bet going last night about who was going to be booted off last night. I had my fingers, toes and eyes crossed for Sanjaya to leave.

However, I did find his good-bye song amusing when he sang the word "hair".

Is Sanjaya the one who was awful, but a lot of people were voting for as a joke?

(I'm in the UK but I read an article about AI the other day.)

Week after week, my mom would complain to me about how he'd still be on the show. Last night was the first time I've watched any American Idol in a long time, and I just turned it on as he was being kicked off. My God, his singing SUCKS!!!

MELINDA ALL THE WAY!

I still feel bad for the kid though - he shouldn't have been there in the first place - the judges shouldn't have put him through. He's 17 and everyday there's an article about "how awful" he was.... I really think he probably can sing but he's just not "polished"... he's still finding himself, finding his style, etc..... the country was definitely NOT his style.... it seemed he gave up or something it was just so awful....

Again, let me repeat - MELINDA ALL THE WAY!!!

I even woke up early and showered early to see the end last night!

I jumped for joy when they said he was going home. And Simon had a huge smile on his face.

I remember Sanjaya's audition and I thought he did well. Guess he's just not much of a performer. Oh well, he's still young, and very popular with the Tiger Beat crowd, so his life isn't over.

I'm surprised nobody heard me squealing last night . . . I noticed several lights coming on from the neighbors' . . .

My mom actually got me to watching AI this season and I was ready to throw a party last night . . . although Sanjaya did well at audition, he really doesn't have a strong enough voice for various types of music IMO.

I wonder how many teenyboppers have been crying today . . .

I don't know, but my 12yo's 6th grade class were all cheering when they watched them talking about it on the news yesterday morning. :)
