Kitty was *not* happy last night...

I carried him downstairs into the basement so he could see what I was doing. Nothing unusual about that--he loves getting petted, and loves getting into whatever I'm working on. That was, until I set him down, and he saw his reflection in the mirror leaning against the TV. Kitty was *not* happy about that! He apparently thought I had another cat, and hissed at it...and started clawing the glass :eek: Then he knocked the mirror over (not breaking it, thank God!), ran, and hid behind the furnace. He started crying, and didn't come out for an hour :(

Some kitties will try to play w/the reflection in the mirror, some will freak out, some will just ignore it. It's hard to say on something like that, seeing as cats have individual personalities. :shrug:

What's odd about that...is that I've held him up so he could look into the bathroom mirror, and he didn't freak out. However, the mirror in the basement was sitting along the floor (at his level) and that's probably why he went nuts.
