Last night I dreamt that there were 'badies' at my house (I was still living in my old house) and they drowned 2 people, and were trying to catch me. The bizarre thing was, that I called 000 in the dream, and I was on hold for 20 minutes, and never ended up being able to reach them. I have also had dreams where people have tried to bash me, and I have hit back. But when I tried to punch back, my punch felt like a tap.
I think I have had alternatives of the 000 dream a number of times, and could never reach them. My house has been on fire etc, and no one ever answered on the other line. And I know that I have had the punching dream at least a handful of times.
Does anyone else have weird dreams? Please held me feel more normal!
I'm the master of the weird, repetitive dream. I had a psychiatrist who was into the subject... he wanted to know them all.
And so, for years, I found myself saying things like, "So, Donald Trump's there in a New York City fireman's uniform... he gets out his fire hose, aims it at me, and turns it full blast."

Dreammoods.com is a pretty interesting site where you can type in certain things you see in your dream, and it tells you what they supposedly mean.
It's pretty accurate too...on nights that I have family altercations, I usually dream of several tornadoes spawning and destroying things around me. Sure enough, tornadoes signify emotional distress.
Give it a try!

You wanna feel normal? Then listen to a couple of my dreams.
1. I was driving a micromachines race car around on a breakfast table, when I started getting chased by a giant orange! It was just like the scene from Indiana Jones, only I ended up driving off the edge of the table. While I was falling, I looked up and saw the orange roll off the table after me. *wake up*
2. My elementary school was converted to a training academy for future Might Morphin' Power Rangers. I was a Blue Ranger in training. Nothing even happened in the dream, I just stood on the playground talking with my friends, also Rangers-in-training, all of us in uniform, carrying our helmets.
3. I was in my high school, and someone jumped me and tried to beat me up. I took them out easily, and heard my friend crying for help, I ran at super speed, grabbed the wrist of the guy about to hurt my friend, and threw him into a wall. Shortly after that I figured out it was a dream. I said "Hey! If this is a dream I should be able to fly!" So I started to rise off the ground, then hit my head on the ceiling tiles. "Ow, that hurt. You can't be hurt in a dream, so maybe this isn't one..." and I settled back down to the ground *can't remember more*
4. I was a James Bond-type who had to infiltrate a party at a mansion. I get in, doing my thing, being smooth, when I see the owner of the mansion. I do the standard meet and greet, get away, do my mission, and get back to the party. That's when I see the woman who knows I'm a spy, 'cause she's a spy too. The owner recognizes HER so we end up running for our lives together, run through the kitchen, knocking chefs and busboys everywhere, sending dishes and pans cascading all over the place. I run through a door, pulling the woman along behind me. Turns out I just ran into what I guess was the pantry, or a delivery room or something. It was an empty concrete room, with a chute leading up and out. We climb the cute, and come out a cellar door at the back of the house. I sneak along and peak around the corner to see if there are any guards. I only see a cameraman. Waving to the woman (never did find out her name), I run around the corner, for the cameraman to start shooting missiles at me out his shoulder-mounted TV camera. I book it as fast as I can up to the front of the house while cameraguy is reloading, just in time for my newest irl manager to pull up in a Mini and wave at me to get in. I throw the woman into the back seat, and jump in the passenger seat. My manager throws the stick into gear, peels out down the gravel driveway, whips onto the highway (going on two wheels for a half-second) and we drive off. *fade to black*

For years, I had a dream of a Shadow Being, trying to capture me. He would break my window, and I would take off running down the street. Get to the corner of the last block, and hide under a van. An Indian Cheif, just points to another way, and the shadow being goes that way. I run back home, and jump into bed. And hide under the covers.

My most common recurring dream is that I'm back in high school. For some reason, it's always my senior year when I have that dream. I guess there's something from that time that was left unfulfilled, but I'll be damned if I can figure out what.

ok weird dreams...
Nightmare 1: I've given birth to Damian from the OMEN, I raise him as my own and all is normal till strange deaths start being reported on the news. Anyways I notice that Damian has weird stains on his PJ's which shouldn't be there if he's spose to be sleeping. I wake up one night and follow him out of the house, only to find he is the mysterious murderer. He finds out I've followed him and threatens to kill my whole family if I don't do as he says. I end up helping him kill people but at the same time I'm trying to figure out ways of destroying him. I can't remember what happened but I worked it out and Damien started to "disappear" like..turning to glass or some similar substance till he was completely see through and all I needed to do was smash him. Which I did and all was happy again.
Nightmare 2: (last night nightmare) can't remember much but the dream had the guys from supernatural in it. They were after this ghost that was killing men in the woods. The ghost was this lady dressed in a yellow poker dotted bikini riding a horse. She would come out of the woods and beckon for you to follow her. Once you got past the trees she would turn into this evil looking dried up mummified old lady and would start attacking you till you died. I was with Dean and (can't remember his name) and we followed the lady and she started to attack me (then I woke up)
Dream: We bought a house, but it was in REALLY bad condition. The toilets where old school chairs with a hole in them placed over the drain :S, the stairs were broken so you couldn't see the second story and the back porch lead onto a small beach but it was high up and there was no fence, so one wrong step and you plummeted to your death. So we had to renovate it, put a new fence in, and stairs to get down to the water. Fix the stairs to the next story and put in toilets and stuff....it wasn't really that interesting. I spose it relates to my fear of getting a shithole when we eventually find a house to buy!

Its never the setting, but lately I've been jumping far in my dreams. Like a few feet, like I'm skimming just centimeters above. Somethings I can control it, and float my self up, but legs feel really numb then.

Sounds like my kind of dream!
As for recurring nightmares, anyone who has worked a good length of time in the food service industry is quite familiar with "waitmares," which are nightmares about being at work and being so far behind as to be ridiculous, and everything going wrong, etc., etc. Basically the worst day ever at work.....and it never ends.
I hate waitmares. I especially hate them because a couple of times in my life, I have LIVED them. Not. Fun.

I used to have the "Cashier" equivalent of those, and they always seemed to happen on Sunday when the store wasn't even open. Interestingly enough, at some point in the dream, I'd realize what day it was, and that I must be dreaming. Then the dream would just shut down, as if I turned off the TV.
Weird.

I get these a lot.
A weird dream I keep having is one where I'm walking down a gravel road towards a mountain with an enormous satellite dish on top, large to the point where it's blocking out the whole sky. For some reason I feel I have to get there. I'm usually carrying a spear and have a revolver holstered and wearing body armor of some kind. Lately in this dream I'm bleeding from numerous wounds. I never seem to get close to the mountain no matter how far I walk.
An odd one I had last night had me back at Target. The store was completely empty except for me and one supervisor, there was no stuff on the shelves and there was blood everywhere. The supervisor was busy on the lanes and I'm trying to mop up all the blood, which is pumping out of my wrists. The supervisor comes up to me after a while and tells me to go on break, I ignore her and continue trying to mop up the blood which starting to flood the building. Very weird.

I have also had dreams where people have tried to bash me, and I have hit back. But when I tried to punch back, my punch felt like a tap.
I've had many, many dreams where I tried to yell or scream at someone and it felt like I couldn't manage more than a whisper or a squeak, no matter how hard I tried.
I remember once dreaming that I was being mugged in a parking garage, and I aimed a sharp forward snap kick at the guy -- and woke myself up because I'd kicked the cinderblock wall of my dorm room. :o It was a good thing I had karate training in real life and instinctively kicked with the ball of my foot. Otherwise I might have broken some toes.
