Title editing

Twice now I tried to edit my threads title, and twice it didn't work?

How did you try to do it, and what happened when you did?

I got to edit, advance, and write in the title. It shows on the thread itself, but not on the boards. (At least on my scene, not sure if it is on others)

Hmm... I tried it the way you said, using my test account. It happened just like you said.

Mods can do it using the "Edit thread" under the "Thread tools option." This is a tool for mods and admins, of course, but I could have sworn that that option would show up for regular members if they were doing it to their own threads. However, the only thing I could access with my test account was "delete thread."

I'll have to do some more poking around here.

OK, I think I found something.

It looks like there's an option that sets a time limit on how long you can edit a thread title. I just tried it again, and it looks like it does work they way you tried it, but only if you edit it withing 5 minutes of posting. I'm guessing that more time than that had passed in your case.

Mods can also double click in a space to the right of a title to edit it from outside, if they really want.
