well sort of...

Ages ago, as some people know, I moved out of a house that I shared with some people. One of them I spoke about on this site, she was a B**CH and caused me no end of trouble when I was trying to leave. Thank god she's been kicked out on her ass.

Anyways, I had some issues with another housemate, but we still maintain a somewhat friendly existence together as we share some mutual friends and often have to see each other. But anyways, a few things were in my name, one thing being the internet, it was changed into HOUSEMATES name almost a YEAR ago, yet despite my REPEATED e-mails, calls, face to face communication they never changed the e-mail that they had on the account. Fed up I finally just contacted the Internet Company and told them to stop e-mailing me all the bills. That’s information the HOUSEMATE needs, as in the lovely e-mail explaining that their Internet will be cut-off for non-payment. Yeah no sorry, my name is mud because of the shit that happened in that house, I'm looking for a house to buy and I'm scared shitless that I'll be rejected because of what those housemates did to my records (non paid bills in my name, collections BECAUSE of non paid bills, joint account being over drawn on more than 3 occasions and so on and more) so yeah. I don't care and more, I WARNED them repeatedly and they blatantly ignored me. so screw it!

I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!

Trust us, any and all of us on here (and even beyond the internet!) who have had roomates from hell are all on your side, all feel the same way you do, and recommend you raise up your voice and say something. Do whatever needs to be done.

You shouldn't have your good name and credit ruined because of a deadbeat roomate. Absolutely not.

This is why I am never doing the roomate thing again. This is why I am making sure I have all my ducks in a row and am making sure that I am not charged for anything in this apartment that may still be considered my roomate's responsibility. This is also why I am not telling him where I am moving to, so he's stuck here for the last month of the lease.......and not only that, but if his girlfriend ever kicks him out again in the future and he hasn't gotten a new apartment or dwelling, he's SOL. I ain't helping him out.
