Failing at all attempts to get an internship this summer, I was forced to crawl back to my old job and beg for a summer position.
So that’s it! I'm once again a video store employee.
Today was my first day back. I only worked a 5 hour shift but I am totally exhausted. It's only been 6 months, but I seem to have lost all stamina for retail. Had some interesting customers today, not exactly sucky, just interesting.
1) Asian guy with a black folder containing beaded jewelry and a photo of poor Asian children who decided to set up shop in my store 'for charity'. Now, I'm all for helping kids in need, but this stunk like a scam to me so I kicked him out.
2) Mr. Tourette, who swore every other word. "Where is that g**d d*mn movie with that f**cking guy in it. Oh, I saw that f**cking movie it was a piece of sh**" Usually I couldn't care less about the language but he had his kid with him (no more than 6 years old).
3) Mr. and Mrs. domestic dispute. Yelling and screaming at each other the whole time. Why are you still together? I can't figure it out.
Just a few that stuck out in my head. Oh I can't wait for the rest of this summer!:rolleyes:
