Seems that August 1st is going to be one INTERESTING day for me.

At 5:00 that afternoon, I have a private party that I just booked to do a magic show for a kid's birthday party.

At 7:00 that evening, I have the cookoff I frequent going on (that those of you who read my mushroom post already know about).

Which means I need to figure a dish that I can keep hot in a pot for a while, then spend the day prepping it and cooking it, then shower, change, head to the party, impress a bunch of 6 year olds, get paid, come back to my place, change again, load up my dish, head to the cookoff bar, set up my dish there, and then, AND ONLY THEN, do I get to relax and enjoy a cold one.

NOT that I mind this. It will just be a bit challenging is all. And the money I will make from the party will more than offset whatever cash I blow on the cookoff.

The good thing is, I already look like a hero to the client (birthday girl's mom), having gone out of my way to help her find some magic-themed party supplies online (and I found some good deals, too!). THAT was just an extra, not part of my fee or anything.

What can I say? I rock.

But wish me luck for the 1st...that is going to be one hellacious Wednesday! :D
