Going from Suck to Blow

Just saw a commercial last night. G4 television is going to be showing a Spaceballs animated series. God, please let it be good. I love that movie.

I usually despise G4 (the whole 'take over TechTV, then get rid of almost all the good TechTV shows' thing (ScreenSavers & Call For Help, how I miss you!)), but this...if it's any good, I might just start watching G4 again.

Its on G4, and therefor will suck. Sorry, they simply cannot produce quality shows.
Once they took over Tech TV, I stopped watching the station. They did indeed trash all the good shows, and ruined the good ones they kept (Screen Savers became Attack of the Show, X-Play is a JOKE)

Just don't watch it, and wait for it to disappear.

I like watching AOTS & X-Play. Both are good to me. Oh, and Cheat's, that is a good show also

I think Code Monkeys is funny.
But other than that, G4 is just becoming another Spike TV.
I used to watch it, but I'm not a big gamer anymore.
I even find fun in games that are a few years old (Heck, I think Gex: Enter The Gecko is awesome).

I'm not a techie or game type person, but they play COPS and Cheaters on that channel, and I watch it occasionally.

My bf and I were watching COPS one night on G4, and the middle of the screen was taken up by this blurb of COPS facts and questions....it was annoying.

THATS THE SHOW! Cops! They play Cops!

Here we have a station that took over Tech TV, which was a Tech station, a few months later that went full "Gamer TV", and now they're showing COPS.


What does Cops have to do with Gaming?

Actually, a little TechTV is still around, online.

DL.TV (http://www.dl.tv) is where Patrick Norton (until recently, his last show was last Thursday :cry:), Robert Heron, Roger Chang, and a few others ended up. Good show, used to be twice a week, but now only on Thursdays live, and downloads in all different formats soon after.

Then there's TWiT (http://www.twit.tv) - stands for This Week in Tech, where Leo Laporte and others have various netcasts on a lot of different issues (Windows, tech news, Linux, etc.). It even has downloads of his syndicated radio show, The Tech Guy (http://techguylabs.com/radio/). And I'm a little jealous because they still show Leo on the Canadian side (g4techtv.ca), first with Call For Help 2.0, now The Lab with Leo.

But AotS got a ballsload of ratings because they broke Rules 1 and 2.
