We only have one book store in our area and it just so happens that my daughter's ex-boyfriend works there. Not counting yesterday, but the three times previously that she has been in there to either buy a book or place an order for a book she was wanting he has been down right rude to her while checking her out. She has told me that she does not want to be a SC, but she is getting tired of the way he is treating her. What do you all suggest that she does the next time he pulls this on her. Today I went in with her, but he was not working the front today.

I agree with Mae. Just because it's your ex girlfriend, there is not excuse of acting like an ass. I'd have her talk to management too if he treats her like this again.
Also, are there multiple cashiers, maybe she go to another one instead of her, (In case managemnt act like a dick about it0.

I've found that in situations such as these, when the customer knows the employee that's giving them a hard time, it's good to provide as many specific examples as possible. "So-and-so was rude to me," may not have the desired effect, because "rude" is open for interpretation. "When I went to check out, So-and-so said 'You are a moron,' to me," is much more likely to get results.
HTH. Good luck. As others suggested, if there are multiple cashiers, perhaps your daughter could go to a different one?
