Last night as I was preparing to go to sleep, I was brushing my hair and something in my reflection caught my eye.
On the underside of my upper arm there's a line of bruises. Quite purple, actually.
I don't have a CLUE as to how I got them. They don't hurt, either...they're just THERE.
I'm used to unexplain bruises on my legs and lower arms, but NEVER on my upper arms...

I'm not a doctor, but I've heard previously that bruising like you're describing can be a symptom of leukemia. You'll definitely want to get it checked out professionally.

Don't panic, but do get it checked out. I am very fair skinned and mildly anemic and I bruise easily. Back when I was very anemic I'd get random, unexplained bruising, so it is worthwhile just getting a check-up, make sure all is ok.

It could also be a vitamin deficiency, such as Vitamin C.

Or you could have been leaning up against some wet purple paint.

Could be...even with taking mulitvitamins.

Heh. Doubtful. Didn't wash off. :p
And don't worry, folks, I WILL get it checked out.

While I AM lacking in vitamin D (I avoid the sun like the plague), as such, I DO take multivitamins...knowing full well that there's a damn good chance that my body isn't absorbing it as well as it could/should.
Believe me, I know the difference between a line of purple bruises and my veins...which show thin and blue. (Funny story about THAT...for another time...)
