I was wondering how everyone makes pasta salad. Here's how I make mine.:)
3 cups pasta (1 cup for each pasta shape)
1 small tin sliced black olives
Italian dressing
Mozzarella Cheese
Put water in cooking pot and bring to a boil.
Cook for 8 minutes-stir for 2, sit for 2-alternating until done.
Drain for a while until cooled.
Pour pasta into mixing bowl.
Add black olives, Italian dressing, and Mozzarella Cheese.
Stir, serve, and put leftovers in a container to put in fridge.

I make a hot pasta salad. I put rigatoni, lots of veggies (sun-dried tomatoes and snow peas are my favourite), olive oil and a bit of red wine in a casserole dish, sprinkle liberally with basil, top with emmental, and bake it.
Adding chicken turns it into a dinner casserole.
I think I'll make that tonight now that I'm thinking about it.

I have a few pasta salads I do...but honestly my all time favorite is the Suddenly Salad ranch n bacon w/ chopped fresh tomatoes added.
(I don't like the Kraft brand ranch n bacon salad at all for some reason.)

our pasta salad is a bit different.we cook a big pot because then we have it for the week, for lunch and such.
(i was told i have to name it a certain way, so i will)
PETERS TURKEY SALAD
2 pounds ready cut spaghetti
1 large can of cut tomatoes
2 small cans of mushroom
add cubed turkey to taste
2 bottles garlic ranch salad dressing
just enough barbeque sauce to tase it, but not overpower the salad dressing.
(*remember! this is a big pot! if you want less, you have to cut back on the ingredients!*)
Cook the pasta, and drain. do not cool. then, throw everything together! enjoy either cold or warm. i enjoy it warm.

My pasta salad typically involves a ton of cooked pasta (usually shells or spiral), drained and cooled, combined with diced veggies (usually carrots, broccoli, peppers, tomatoes and/or anything else I find in the fridge to throw in) and shaken in a covered container with a good amount of bottled Italian dressing.
In addition, I'll usually cube provolone and/or mozzerella cheese and some pepperoni into a separate container, to be added in to each bowl as I eat it. :) I just make a ton and keep it covered in the fridge to eat off of for days on end. I do the same with spinach dip, as well.

Mmmmmmm Yummmay!! My favorite. They've also got a southwest chipotle suddenly salad that is quite good.
I usually don't make pasta salads all that much. Main time is when it's hot out or when I grill out steaks. Then I love making em. Usually i like to grill some shimp on the grill with the steaks, toss the shrimp in with the pasta, toss in some italian dressing and some parmesan cheese. mmmmmmm Maybe some croutons.
Damnit....now I'm getting hungry.

IDR's Tuna Pasta Salad (No rum in the salad, but you can drink it with the salad )
1 box of pasta with a hole in the middle (ziti, elbow, etc.)
2 cans tuna
2-3 hard boiled eggs
mayo
black pepper (for taste)
celery salt OR flakes (optional, again for taste)
Cook pasta to directions. Drain. Rinse in cold water.
Put pasta into large enough bowl that you can do lots of stirring.
Add mayo, stir it in.
Add tuna one can at a time. Stir tuna in after each application. Peel and chop boiled eggs. Stir them in too.
Taste.
Add more mayo if the salad is too dry. (You can always add more mayo after it's been in the fridge for a while and cools down).
Add black pepper to taste. Add the celery salt or flakes to the salad. Stir this in (the stirring is optional at this point).
Note: At my house, this is gone with 24 hours.
